Watashi wa Yotek des. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu... and then my Japanese pretty much fails from there.
I came across this budding forum while in search for a guide to teach my friend who to encode. I guess my directions were confusing and I found a link to a guide here.
I am an anime buff. I've been into it pretty hard for the past 12 years. My favorite genre would have to be harems. Also, ecchi is yummy. The only genre I really don't like are tragedies (watched school days and phantom requiem for a phantom... never again).
By trade I do IT work. I am an IT specialist for a small not for profit. My line of work does give me a bit of free time when things are going well. With a company so small I have to manage a lot of things and not really specialize in any of them. Due to this, I have a pretty good grasp on servers, networking, operating systems, ect. (Side note, I suck at web development).
I encode anime's in my free time, usually while I'm watching a different anime. I am not great at Japanese so I usually use someone else subs. I like Doki's subs as of recent (Coal girls has great subs too but usually bloats the files and all I want are her subs since I encode it WAY down while keep the quality).
Music is my other side hobby. I'm trained classically in violin, viola, and cello. I do anime transcriptions from time to time.
If there is something I can help with let me know. I do most requests for free (except that one thing.... never that thing... you know... THAT thing). Would love to be a helping hand in a new community.
